Gentleman farmer??? Ho Ho Ho---NFW

no, no---lopez no weekender but has good crew and has good records for PROFITS so while seeing stock markets , etc., lopez keeps close eyes on commodities....and the two best ever in view of lopez, for garden people, are Eliot Coleman and Peter Chan... and what is the favorite garden of lopez? Well, go rent "Missouri Breaks" with Brando and Nicholson and then check out the great garden farmer Tom Logan, aka, Jack Nicholson puts in....

A delicious irony for farmer Brown

for years the developers paid top dollar and laughed all the way to the bank but of course so did the farmer, laugh all the way to the bank. And then, to keep the land taxed as farm land, the developers paid the farmers to plant to be legally in compliance. But ho ho ho--today the land prices have gone back to when and farmers are cleaning up with the new and nice prices for commodities....who wuddda thunk???

USA Citizens--Let the Facts Speak for Themselves

Never forget who is running this country, and all you have to do is look at the record since Jan. 20/2000, and you will see that not only are we much worse off but the bad shit is accelerating. Dubya the great has fucked most all of us and you need to protect yourself as much as possible. In the view of Lopez, Dubya and Congress have created an economic Katrina that will rock the USA and the whole world. Helmets on and save, save, save......

"The Prince of the apple towns..."

Yes, for the few that know, Lopez sold out his Tamale/Taco Wagons and has been doing the local small farm thing with tomatoes, peppers, (Hot and sweet); herbs, (thyme, basil, oregano, rosemary, sage, parsley); and of course chives, garlic and onion. FYI-last year lopez had tomatoes May 1 but this year no way jose'---tomatoes just going in this week... and of course do own compost and all organic and sell at local farmer's market under the name "Fern Hill Farm"--of course for Readers, you will recognize the all time favorite Lopez poem, "Fern Hill" by Dylan Thomas...the best thing to do is have a couple of your favorites and then read aloud...the sounds and words of wonder...adios
